Steel diaphragm and stiffening rib of the multi-box steel- concrete composite bridge can improve the flexural capacity of bridge to some extent, so these contributions should be reasonably considered during the design stage in order to reduce the engineering cost.
A 4×40m span bridge in Hangzhou Qiushi Expressway is taken as engineering background.

Partially Double-Layered Dome Structure Linear and Nonlinear Buckling Analysis Jianbing Lv 1;2, a , Helin Fu 1,b , Li Yang 2,c and Zhe Liu 3,d 1School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Central South University, Changsha 710054, Hunan, China 2Guangdong Hualu Transportation and Communication Technique, Limited, Guangzhou 510420 Guangdong, China 3 Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu 610031;Sichuan, China aljbzh@126.com, bfu.h.l@mail.csu.edu.cn, cyangli@126.com, dliuzhe1213@163.com Keywords: Linear Buckling Analysis; Nonlinear Buckling Analysis; Dome Structure; ANSYS Abstract:Space steel structure stability has been a focused problem in the engineering field, in the past the study mainly concentrated on the single layer dome structure stability and elastic stability analysis, but with the structure shape complex, new type structure emerges continually, it needs more accurate stability analysis method.
So the nonlinear buckling analysis (Fig. 1) is widely used in the engineering filed, compared between Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 , we can find the different buckling curve happening in the two kinds of analysis, the two theories outline will be introduced in this section.
Engineering introduction The room roof space structure span is 120m with double layer (partially single layer) sphere shape dome structure, the top chord part has 12 symmetric flower pedal shape structures (see Fig. 3), in which the structure is double layer dome structure, the other parts are the single layer.
Conclusions (1)Nonlinear buckling is needed in the real design engineering problem, but the linear buckling analysis can supply us the structure vibration mode and the mode can be used as the structure imperfection before performing the nonlinear analysis
