Among other matrix alloys, aluminium alloys are very attractive from the perspective of engineering and technological potential.
The application of aluminium alloy as the matrix melt, and the carbon-graphite or ceramics as the porous body allows producing composite materials that are widely used in mechanical engineering for the manufacturing of collector shoes, pantograph inserts, collectors, seals, sleeve bearing linings, the field of application of which is diverse and includes, aside from the above-mentioned elements, the parts for aerospace applications [9].
They produce them for various international companies, such as BOSCH, Makita, Hitachi, Hilti, etc. [6].
Trolley pantographs use contact strips that differ in design—flat end profile, configuration of cross-section, length and shape in plan—and material—carobgraphite, metallic or metal-ceramic.

Abstract: Mesoporous silica-carbon nanocomposites (C-SiO2) were synthesized and used as a host
carrier in carbothermal reduction to fabricate highly crystalline silicon carbide nanoparticles and
nanofibers.
Introduction Silicon carbide is a widely used ceramic material with attractive properties such as high strength, stiffness, good wear and corrosion resistance, some of which are characteristics of a typical covalently bonded material.
