The chemical structure of the prepared ethoxylated nonionic surfactants was confirmed by the FTIR which are shown the following absorption bands at 2886.92 cm-1(CH2str.), 1468.53 cm-1 (CH2 bend.), 1111.76 cm-1 (C-O str.) and 1731.76 cm-1 (C=O).

Abstract.
The ZrO2 coatings are uniform along the whole length and diameter of filaments and have nanosized porous structure.
One of the reasons could be a different chemistry of the surface of the initial SiC fibers, as was mentioned above.
It was shown with micro Raman spectroscopy that the long-term exposition of coated SiC fiber to air at high temperatures results in the formation of the Si - O - C structures [4].
Based on these results, one can conclude that the chemistry of surface region significantly contributes into the adhesion between the Si3N4 tip and the surface of fibers.
