Characteristic of locally resonant phononic crystal Locally resonant phononic materials contain arrays of elastic resonators composed of a heavy core (scatter) surrounded by a coating of a very weak material.
The materials selected for the scatter, coating and matrix are steel, rubber and epoxy.

Introduction Polyurethane rigid foams are popular in construction industry as thermal insulation materials.
When proportion of sepiolite nanofibers in the composite materials is more than 2%, agglomerating action increases, so the dispensability of sepiolite nanofibers in the composite materials starts to reduce, leading to the decrease of compressive strength.
The compressive strength of composite materials reaches optimum at the sepiolite nanofibers proportion of 2%.

The mechanical properties of materials deteriorate at the high temperature of the fire, and the structure can be damaged easily, so the damage cumulative impact must be considered in the structural resistance capability to fire.
Introduction Reinforced concrete structure or member is the subject of construction engineering, it will not burn in the process of fire; however, the high temperature in fire has significant influence on the materials’ performance, especially the mechanical properties [1].
