Thermal conductivity of cement concrete using discrete element method

The discrete element method (DEM) was an ideal tool to simulate the mechanical behavior of materials(such as rocks, powder material ,cement concrete and asphalt mixtures) In the DEM, a solid material was represented as a collection of structural units (particles, beams, and blocks).
The paper presents the basis for virtual experiment in construction materials.
This command used the materials in the measurement sphere 2 as representative of whole specimen, then assigned a thermal resistance of 17.21℃/W to each thermal pipe in the model.
