Becher
et al. [1] and Nair [2] elucidated the dependence of the toughening upon composition, fiber-matrix
interfacial conditions and whisker properties.
Using the pull-out displacement which is given by the elongation of whisker in the debonded region, the crack opening displacement uc is expressed as d L d L i c E l E l u cos 2 0cos 2 (4) where EL is Young's modulus of whisker in the longitudinal direction.

An increase in nucleation rate leads to smaller particle sizes at constant temperature as
proposed by Nyvlt et.al. [9].

The proposal is based in the work of Hsu et al.[5] that uses a unique digital camera to measure the distance of one object to the camera taking into account the number of pixels of the object from an image to other. This new approach, differently of the previous one, it takes into account the variation of the position of target points (in terms of pixels)on the scene, instead of the number of the pixels of the target object.
The experimental setup was assembled on an inertial table and the measuring system consisted of the digital camera properly placed in front of the building, the tripod and the system control to excite the structure. The camera was properly positioned and adjusted to capture the movement of the whole structure at an acquisition rate of 120 frames per second (fps)and resolution of 640x480 pixels. The test-bed building was excited by the El Centro earthquake scaled signaloccurred on 1940 in the Imperial Valley in southeastern Southern California [7], which was integrated twice since the signal to feed the shaking table control is displacement.
