Different materials of the porous matrices have allowed bringing to light the influence of the material properties.
Two of the most common materials used in heat pipes are the naturally existing porous media such as rock, soil, sandstone, limestone, and the man-made porous media such as ceramics, foam, rubber and metal wick.
The result is also in agreement with findings by Mahgoub [9] who studied the effects of particle diameter and particle materials with different thermal conductivities on the rate of heat transfer over a horizontal flat plate with air as working fluid.

Introduction Among nano-structured materials the nanotubes are unique because of their strongly anisotropic geometry, which is associated with interesting physical and chemical properties.
Since the discovery of carbon nanotubes by Iijima [1], extensive research on the synthesis of nanotubes made of materials other than carbon has been carried out, and a series of oxidic nanotubes have been reported [2].
(3) Ag +, Cu 2+ and Zn2+ cation exchanged titanate nanotubes/nanobelts can effectively inhibit the growth of G + and G bacteria, and can be used as a new kind of inorganic antibacterial materials Acknowledgements The work was financed by China National Natural Science Foundation under grant No. 50371044.

Automobile seat fabric is one of the decorative materials in automobile textile fabrics.
Within national standard GB 8410-2006, flammability of automotive interior materials, for flame retardant performance, must meet the following requirements: burning rate ≤100mm/min.
Introduction Automobile materials, in addition to steel and plastic, textile is one of the main materials.
In order to achieve the performance requirements of automobile interior materials, automobile textile should be conducted finishing.
For flame retardant property, refer to GB 8410-2006 Flammability of automotive interior materials, GB/T 17591-2006, FZ/T 24005-2010.

The fibre reinforced metal matrix composites (FRMMC-s) are one of the main groups of the composite materials.
It means that modern industries need new material, which has less weight than traditional materials e.g.
Various matrix materials were used in the experiments.
