Materials and Methods Materials: Each sample cylinder shape with 4 mm in diameter and 8 mm in length were prepared by sintering a green block of biphasic hydroxyapatite/calcium phosphate(HA/TCP=70/30) at 1200 0C.
The bone-like apatite layer formed on the materials is a prerequisite for their osteoinduction but osteoinduction of biomaterials may also be affected by other material factors and physiological factors.

A bulk micro-hardness of HV190 was first recorded for the BSK46 parent material sample.
The residual stress measurements were performed using test specimens extracted from the frame side rail materials on a Rigaku X-ray diffractometer using chromium radiation to acquire the diffraction peak at an angle of 1560 with a spot size of 2mm in diameter.
