Growth of undoped GaAs single crystal by pulling-down method Min Jin1, a, Jiayue Xu1, Qingbo He2, Yongzheng Fang1, Hui Shen1, Zhanyong Wang1 and Guojian Jiang1 1School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Institute of Technology, Shanghai 200235, China 2Hangzhou Supercrystal Photonics Incorporation, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province 311100, China ajmaish@yahoo.cn Keywords: Undoped GaAs; Pulling-down method; Crystal Growth.
As we’ve known, the physical properties of GaAs crystal were intimately sensitive to the purity of raw materials and the growth atmosphere.
When the raw materials were completely melted and successfully seeded, the pulling-down mechanism started to work and crystal growth was executed through the temperature gradient region.
GaAs crystal is a kind of soft materials and the origination of twins were reported as a crucial problem in industrial production [12].

The criteria parameters are defined for particular structural materials, e.g. [10, 11], etc., and in the case of welded structures, the base and weld materials properties can also be obtained and distinguished in failure criteria as shown in [13].
