Abstract.
Recently, the inconsistencies are pointed out by previous authors for the problem of finding the strains, stresses and energy densities observed in isotropic elastic magnetostrictive materials that are in the form of thin films deposited on non-magnetic substrates.
Introduction Magnetostrictive cantilevers have been attracting great interest in last few years due to their application as actuators and for measurement of magnetostrictive and elastic properties of materials [1-3].
