Thus, the phosphorus content is below 0.15% for the requirement of casting mechanical properties.
However, excessive overheating not only wastes energy, but also decreases mechanical properties.
To ensure higher mechanical properties of casting, a large number of scrap steel is adopted in foundry instead of pig iron.
Different charge ratios have different effects on mechanical properties of cast iron.
Chemical composition confirmation should depend on the weight of the castings, wall thickness, complexity of the shape, the requirement of mechanical performance and other factors.

Carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) composite materials has unique mechanical and functional properties due to the combination of its constituent materials that possesses desirable properties.
The surface roughness is a quality indicator of surface characteristics of machined parts and it influences many properties of material [2].
The control factors and its lower and upper limits are presented in Table 2.
ANOVA is used for identifying the factors that affects the performance measures of quadratic models.
The magnitude of the variables indicates the relative weight of each of these factors.

Tailoring of ceramic laminates to obtain optimal mechanical properties with enhanced fracture resistance is possible when predictions based on numerical calculations are employed.
Extraordinary mechanical properties were achieved via high internal stresses development during material processing.
Mechanical properties of such layered structures can be designed based on numerical predictions [6].
To achieve extraordinary mechanical properties high internal stresses developed during material processing especially due to CTE mismatch and phase transformation are used [7-10].
The addition of micro-fibres slightly modified the microstructural and mechanical properties.

Analysis on Dynamic Lubrication Characteristics of Gas Film in Hard Disk System Hua-ping Yao1, Huang Ping2, Yang-zhi Chen2,a 1School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering, Guangzhou 510640, China, 2School of Mechanical Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou 510640, China, ameyzchen@scut.edu.cn Keywords: Lubrication characteristics, gas film, magnetic slider, dynamic response curve Abstract.
Consequently, the fluctuation in up-and-down direction is the main factor of affecting the dynamic lubrication function.
Flight characteristic of head becomes an important factor that can affects memory property of hard disk driver.
Consequently, the fluctuation in up-and-down direction is the main factor of affecting the dynamic lubrication function.
The result shows the oscillation of slider in up-and-down direction have a larger effect on the film lubrication function, and consequently, the fluctuation in up-and-down direction is the main factor to affect the dynamic lubrication function.

Chemical, mechanical, and microstructural properties are summarized in Table 1.
Mechanical Properties.
Finite element modelling of deformation processes involving dual phase steels currently relies on bulk mechanical properties.
This technique seems promising in terms of providing phase specific properties for micro-mechanical modeling of dual phase steels.
Bending performance was degraded by the same microstructural factors that affect uniaxial tension: primary inclusions and martensite banding. 3.

In this research, adding graphite powder to dielectric is proposed to improve EDM performance factors.
The powder material properties directly impact EDM performance and workpiece mechanical properties.
Two main factors of EDM, namely MRR and Ra were investigated.
The machined surface properties were evaluated by measuring Ra using a surface roughness profilometer and micro-hardness using a micro-hardness tester.
Results and Discussion First, the process performance was investigated in terms of MRR and surface roughness, which are two of the main performance factors of EDM.

The results of the numeric simulation on the temperature field of a prestressed concrete component show that the electric heating infrared detection method, for its energy consumption, efficiency and safety, is feasible for detecting the channel quality of prestressed concrete component, but the electric current needs to be controlled to avoid high temperature which affects the physical and mechanical properties of the strand and the concrete.
We hope to prove its sufficiency and to discover the influence factors of the temperature field such as the electric current intensity, the depth of the steel strand and the heating time, as well as other restrictions.
Table 1 describes the properties of the material of the beam.
But the thermal stress affected by δ, the location of the steel strand, is  less obvious than affected by the current

Investigation of Wear Properties of Al-4.5wt.
Extensive work have been carried out on AMCs to improve their mechanical and tribological properties because of the potential for reduced weight and increased service life in many applications.
It is important to note that a homogeneous distribution of the reinforcing particles is essential for achieving the improved properties.
The aim is to study the effects of size and weight fraction of the TiC particles on the hardness and sliding wear properties of the composites.

According to the factors which affected the properties of the composites, the orthogonal table of L16 (45) was adopted.
Levels of the factors were shown in Table 1.
It thereby affected the other properties of the composites.
Integrating the results of the testing of mechanical properties, the conclusion was obtained that the composites could get better heat-resistance when length of fibers was 10mm.
If the addition of TAIC was too much, it would not only fail to increase HDT but also affect the other properties of the composites.

The friction coefficient of composite is scarcely affected by the alumina content.
To improve the mechanical properties, particularly fracture strength and toughness of Al2O3 ceramic composites, Mo-based composites reinforced by in-situ Al2O3 ceramic particles were developed in this paper, and the properties were researched.
So the actual density of composites depends on the combined action of above two factors.
The friction coefficient of composite is scarcely affected by the alumina content.
