Based on the investigation and analysis on the pavement structure, material and traffic accidents of highway tunnel, security and function of transition section at highway tunnel’s entrance and exit are analyzed, and some useful suggestions for tunnel’s transition pavement structure are given in this article.
Introduction Presently, domestic research on tunnel pavement structure and material is still relatively weak, the tunnel road surface structure and material design in our country remains to apply the highway or urban road design specification.
It is improper to consider the pavement structure and materials of tunnel according to the ordinary highway or urban road design method, and it is necessary to study the design method of pavement structure and material aimed at the characteristics of tunnel entrance and exit.
