In our previous work, plasmonic nano-antennas using various plasmonic materials and plasmonic devices were reported for optical wireless communication [8–12].
Leaf-shaped nanostrip-fed plasmonic nano-antenna structure (a) 3D view (b) front view Optical Properties of Plasmonic Materials The optical features of materials involved in the optical antenna structure design impact severely on the plasmon resonance behavior of nano-antennas.
Plasmonic materials exhibit complex frequency-dependent optical features such as permittivity, conductivity, etc.
Analysis of the dispersive properties of graphene and silicon dioxide demonstrates the suitability of the materials for plasmon oscillations at optical frequency.

However, deterioration of fracture toughness has limited the wide applications of the materials at a certain extent.
Owing to the brittleness of ceramic materials, the reinforcement phase exhibit low volume of fracture toughness.
Part of this research was done at the Institute of Materials Science of Jinan University.

This kind of fertilizers is prepared by granules of conventional fertilizer with various materials coated.
The release and dissolution rate of water-soluble fertilizer can be directly affected by the coating materials.
For some kinds of polymer coating materials, it takes a long time to degrade and they will cause a soil secondary pollution.
