An electrode system for inducing a high density pulsed electric current (PEC) into the material for residual stresses (RS) relaxation has been proposed.
The method suggests inducing a local high-density electric current pulse (107 – 1010 A/m2 and 10-4 – 10-2 s duration) through the material.
The displacements, caused by relaxation of residual stresses in the bulk material due to drilling of the blind holes, are measured using the ESPI method.

The main reason of these limitations results from enhanced corrosion of car engines, caused by combustion of biofuel materials.
Materials and Experimental Procedure The chemical composition of three valve steels under investigation are summarized in Table 1.
In order to demonstrate the influence of acetic acid on the corrosion behavior of investigated valve steels, the rate of corrosion of these materials in atmospheres with and without acetic acid are compared in Fig. 5.
