Ultra-fine limestone powder has been commonly used as concrete admixture in hydropower projects, but quite seldom used in ocean engineering.

Papadopoulos1,b 1 Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Process Equipment Design Laboratory, Greece afgiama@auth.gr, bagis@eng.auth.gr Keywords: Environmental Rating Systems, Green Building Certification, Life Cycle Analysis, construction materials.
Within the frame of this paper, green certifications building schemes have been described, compared to each other and evaluated, against the background of the standards provided by the International Organization for Standardization.
Both schemes have been modified for international applications and their requirements can therefore become compatible with national pieces of legislation and standards.
