Introduction Packaging can be defined as the science, art and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale and use.
In agro-food product, previous study shown that low density polyethylene (LDPE) packaging is one of the material that has the compatibility due to its high flexibility and toughness According to the previous study on effect of packaging materials on vacuum packed pink guava powder, the LDPE packaging film allows high permeability to moisture transfer from external environment into the product as compared with orientated polypropylene (OPP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging films [2].
Despite of that, in terms of enhancing oxygen to influence chemical or biochemical changes, vacuum packaging material is likely to be compatible [3].
