But if the element has similar chemical properties or ionic structures, it can also be absorbed.
Table 2 lists the reported bio-sorbent used for precious metal adsorption at home and abroad. 3.4 Factors affecting the bio-sorption Bio-sorption process is affected by many factors, such as types of bio-sorbents, the type of adsorbed metal ions, pH, temperature, adsorption time, competing ions and solid-liquid ratio, among which pH, temperature, adsorption time and the number and type of competing ions have the biggest influence [10]. 3.4.1 pH of the solution For most adsorption processes, pH of the system can determine the adsorption capacity.
Within a certain range, the temperature has some influence on the adsorption capacity, but not as influential as pH. 3.4.3 Adsorption time Adsorption time is an important factor affecting the efficiency of adsorption of heavy metals.
Normally, competing ions may compete with target ions in binding to the adsorption sites, or reduce properties of adsorbent [13]. 3.5 The application of bio-sorption in wastewater treatment Yan Keliang et al [14] used white rot fungi to bleach the dye via adsorption.

With the intermediary in their properties, the type of objective things is often not very clear.
To solve this problem, the rough set theory is introduced to obtain the importance of various environmental factors affecting the durability of concrete structures.
The weight of various index should be allocated if we want to do division due to the durability of concrete structures affected by many factors.
After the durability damage level were assessed for the 515 in-service concrete structures in Shenzhen city, we obtained the weight of each affecting factors for building’s durability.
During the factors affecting the durability of concrete structures, the proportion of chloride penetration is decreases, while the proportion of carbonation is gradually increase.

Introduction Grain size is a key structural factor affecting nearly all aspects of the physical, chemical and mechanical behavior of metals.
Owing to no substantial change in outer dimensions it is easy to repeat the pressing form many times and get a large accumulated strain, which can be estimated by the equation: (Eq. 1) where φ and ψ are the corner angle and the die angle, respectively, and N is the number of passes [2] There are some studies on the microstructural evolution and mechanical behavior of 316L austenitic stainless steels processed by SPD. [4-6].

Mechanical properties of friction stir welding (FSW) butt joint are affected by back surface defect.
Mechanical properties of magnesium alloy butt joint made by FSW from both surfaces of surface were compared with that of ordinary single pass welding.
These defects deteriorate the mechanical properties.
In this paper, the effect of 2 pass FSW on the mechanical properties of magnesium alloy was investigated.
The reason why we did not use joints for residual stress measurement is to purge factors affect the measurement other than method of different method of FSW.

The mechanical properties and phase transformation behaviors of fine grained specimens were compared to those of commercially available SUS304 (d =16 µm).
Such a grain size dependence of texture affects an extra ductility of SUS304 at the latter stage of deformation.
The mechanical properties and phase transformation behaviors of fine-grained SUS304 specimens were compared to those of large-grained one by EBSD (Electron Back Scatter Diffraction) analysis.
In short, we intended to clarify the material factors affected by grain size from microscopic point of view.
We think the following two factors owe this phenomenon

Mechanical Properties in Hot Forged Steel Parts in Relation to Properties in Corresponding Parts made by Casting Solely Henry Valberg1, a*, Morten Langøy2,b and Mette Nedreberg3,c 1Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Department of Engineering Design and Materials, Richard Birkelands v. 2b, 7491 Trondheim, Norway 2University of Stavanger, Department of Mechanical and Structural Engineering and Material Science, 4036 Stavanger, Norway 3Rolls-Royce Marine AS, Propulsion-Ulsteinvik, Norway ahenry.valberg@ntnu.no, bmorten.langoy@uis.no, cmette.nedreberg@rolls-royce.com Keywords: Hot forging of steel, Cast steels, Mechanical testing, Mechanical tests, Bending test, “Eye”-shaped bend specimen, Microstructural defects.
It is a common understanding that hot forging will improve the properties of a steel part in relation to what is the result when the same part is made by casting solely.
For instance, it has been shown in a number of articles [1-4] how the presence of casting defects either as micro, or macro porosity, affects the fatigue life of steel castings.
To identify important process factors in the hot forming operation when forging this component from an initial workpiece of cylindrical shape, a 3D FE-model was made of the process.
For large surface roughness it seems that the roughness will be a factor that determines when the specimen will start to break down.

The samples with fine starting powder showed fine, high aspect ratio of β-Si3N4 grains and good mechanical properties.
Characterizations of the starting power, such as particle size, purity, compo- sition and so on, are the most important factors that affect microstructures of the sintered samples.
Mechanical Properties.
Porous Si3N4 ceramics showed very excellent mechanical properties (see Table 2).
This is probably attributed to the formation of fibrous microstructure, which contributes to the mechanical properties.

The influence of flour properties on cake quality Most of the methods used to evaluate the properties of cake products are based on those used in the evaluation of bread products.
The gelatinization of wheat starch is a key contributor to the structural properties of cakes and the evaluation of the pasting properties of cake flours is therefore an important test.
A number of different factors will affect the batter viscosity including the level of added water[2] and the batter temperature.
Not all batter mixing technologies deliver the same intrinsic properties in the mixed batter.
This is especially true of air incorporation and gas bubble properties.

It was a breakthrough to select the appropriate activator and activation method, because of the difference mechanism of action and effects for different activators of fly ash, the complexity composition of filling material mixed with large number of fly ash, and the early and late physical and mechanical properties [1,2].Four salts are used for activators in this paper, which are mixed with fly ash and water, and a display method was selected to maximum activate the activity of fly ash, increase the early strength of the material, and reduce the cost of the material.
