Bamboo is an ancient building material, but it is rarely applied in the modern buildings nowadays.
The curve shows a good linear behavior which means the good linear elasticity for the bamboo material.
Therefore, the results are different for various specimens, which means the material has a large dispersion.

An algorithm was developed to reconstruct velocity tomographs of the interior of the material.
Tomography has been effectively adopted for various rock-like materials in laboratory.
The small level of anisotropy, 5%, was ignored and the material was treated as isotropic.

Soil as a special material featured with nonlinear stress-strain relationship plays a critical role in determining the magnitude of hazards in an earthquake.
However the existing test equipments generally can only simulate a single environment of high static fields or shaking load for testing and validating mechanical properties of structures and materials.
For showing great advantages in geotechnical earthquake engineering, centrifugal shaking table is recognized as an effective and advanced testing method to dynamic characteristics and failure mechanism of structures and materials [3].

Laser is a typical kind of the beams that have high-density power, and it has been applied widely in material removing, not only for metal materials but also for non-metal ones.
CO2 laser is powerful and able to show high efficiency in cutting-off of thick steel plates, and it is also effective to process difficult-to-machine materials such as ceramics.

A critical velocity range to the substrate material is exist and below which then the effect would be erosion, within the critical velocity range could has a coating, above the range then the grain would penetrate the substrate material.

The process of removal materials by a single particle is nearly homology between micro-grinding and conventional grinding, but due to the differences of the parameters from couple grinding process, which leads to great differences.
In the process of micro-grinding, if the volume of removal materials is same, the number of effective cutting particle becomes less, which can produce a negative impact on the grinding surface in theoretical, and reducing the workpiece speed can improve the surface quality
