Materials play a fundamental role in any branch of civil engineering.
It is estimated that 0.068m3 of waste is generated for each m3 of civil work, while 0.3 m3 of waste is generated for each m2 of construction.

The fire resistance of concrete filled steel tubular column is usually obtained by the numerical analysis method, which is difficult to operate and not convenient in the actual civil engineering.
It can be seen from comparison that the formula results are reasonable in engineering practices and can meet the requirement of safety and reliability of civil engineering.

The above numerical results offer us some theoretical indications and instructions to further investigate the instability failure mechanisms of engineering concrete structures in civil and hydraulic engineering.
This has been observed in laboratory tests and in situ monitoring of existing geotechnical and civil engineering structures.
It is indicative for us to gain an insight into the nature of the micro-fracturing process and the mechanisms of the creep instability failure mechanisms of engineering concrete structures in civil and hydraulic engineering.

Remaining Life Prediction Based on HOLT Algorithm for Civil Aero-engine Fang Bai The 28th research institute of china electronics technology group corporation, Nanjing 210007, China Email:baifang@nuaa.edu.cn Keyword: civil aero-engine; performance reliability; remaining life; prediction Abstract: Under the condition of limited information on route, incomplete check, minimum maintenance and other characteristics, it will be that the concept of reliability estimate extended to real-time application of reliability.
Case analysis results show that the method of forecasting precision can get the engineering application requirements, so it is effective and feasible. 0 Introduction Due to the different of the environmental conditions, flight utilization ratio and the maintenance level, reliability analysis from global data given by manufacturers can be only as a reference, and not accurate for the aero-engine reliability life control.
Compared with the true value, relative error is 22.172%, that shows this method is effective, feasible, and can be used in engineering practice guidance.

Their use was also studied for dampers in civil engineering, as well as for their potential in morphing.
This paper targets to applications in dampers for civil engineering.
In fact, a quake and 3 or 4 replicas of 1 min represents for the standard frequencies in civil engineering near 1000 oscillations.
In fact, their practical application to damping in civil engineering seems difficult.
Conclusions Due to the significant force-intensities commonly encountered in civil engineering, applications of very thin SMA wires meet several difficulties.
