VSR is generally that when the exciter applies on the workpiece the periodical dynamic stress σ1 and the residual stress σ2 which are superimposed with residual material yield strength greater than or equal to limit σS.
Meanwhile, after a certain time of the cycle, due to Bauschinger effect, the equivalent yield strength of workpiece material from the original σS rising until it equals to bored stress.

However, the covalent bond of SiC is very strong, which results in a small diffusion coefficient of C, Si atoms and low sintering diffusion rate, so it is difficult to prepare high-density SiC materials by ordinary non-pressurized sintering and must introduce a second phase to promote sintering.
However, the fracture toughness is low, which limits its widely used as structural materials [4].
