Abstract
This study addresses past, current and future development of the wind electrical power
industry, that began prior to 1890 in Cleveland, Ohio and Askov, Denmark.
The International IEEE Wind Energy Community of Practice (IEEE WECP) The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), www.ieee.org , is the largest technical society in the world addressing electrical engineering, power electronics, computing and information technology and telecommunications, control systems, and engineering management.
As explained above, wind energy electricity generation is a complex technological system drawing on multiple scientific and engineering principles from a variety of disciplines.
