This volume contains the Proceedings (64 selected refereed papers) of the 6th Japanese-Mediterranean Workshop on Applied Electromagnetic Engineering for Magnetic Superconducting and Nanomaterials (JAPMED’6), organized in Bucharest, Romania, during July 27-29th 2009.
This Workshop represented a landmark in the development of materials, manufacturing and electrical engineering; providing a forum for specialists from the universities, research centers and industries of many countries to establish links, share knowledge and experience and encourage cross-fertilization of new ideas and developments in design, analysis, novel-material utilization and optimisation techniques in the areas of applied electromagnetics.
Also covered was the manufacturing of advanced materials from the macro-, to the nano-scale and their industrial application in modern technologies involving nanotechnology, electricity/electronics, superconductivity, electromagnetic engineering, transportation, bioengineering, energy and the environment.
The conference is a biennial event, being the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in engineering, science, technology theory and practice.

With the current development of materials science and engineering, many different cost-effective and high-quality materials have come into use in various applications.
Thus, this volume of the journal “Material Science Forum” presents to readers the 1st special issue from the series “Current Advances in Materials Applications,” which contains articles covering different aspects of the research the properties of the materials and methods their applications.
The development of materials having advanced structural properties is becoming a key factor in industrial and technological progress.
The aim of the special collection is to provide a forum for engineers, researchers, scientists and industrial experts to present their work and discuss the current situation with regard to advanced and associated technologies, experimental techniques, numerical analysis and recent developments in the field of advanced materials.
It required advanced treatment after the biochemical treatment.
So the advanced treatment was needed.
Zhu: Chemical Engineering.
Carwassimib: Minerals Engineering.
In addition, adopting Python programming language for its development has enabled advanced users to control the diffractometer flexibly and treat the data easily.
Moreover it is expected for us to develop advanced measurement method.

This volume is a collection of papers presented at the 10th International Autumn Meeting on "Gettering and Defect Engineering in Semiconductor Technology - GADEST 2003," which took place from the 21st to the 26th of September 2003 at the Seehotel Zeuthen, in the state of Brandenburg, Germany.
The Seehotel Zeuthen, near Berlin, was an excellent location at which to provide a forum for interactions between scientists and engineers engaged in the field of semiconductor defect physics, materials science and technology; and to reflect upon aspects of the coming era of conversion from micro-electronics to nano-electronics.
The book is organized into 11 sections: Advanced Silicon Materials; Oxygen-, Nitrogen- and Hydrogen-Related Phenomena; Crystalline Silicon for Solar Cells; Silicon-Germanium on Silicon; Extended Defects in Silicon and their Influence on Luminescence; Implantation-Related Phenomena; Point Defects, Impurities and Deep Levels; Dislocations in Semiconductors; Diagnostics, Characterization Techniques; Gettering; Future Aspects.
These proceedings of the 7th PRICM conference comprise over 720 peer-reviewed paper grouped into: Symposium A: Advanced Steels and Processing, Symposium B: Advanced High-Temperature Structural Materials, Symposium C: Light Metals and Alloys, Symposium D: Bulk Metallic Glasses and Nanomaterials, Symposium E: Solidification, Deformation and Related Processing, Symposium F: Modeling and Simulation of Microstructures and Processes, Symposium G: Thin Films and Surface Engineering, Symposium H: Advanced Ceramics, Symposium I: Biomaterials, Smart Materials and Structures, Symposium J: Materials Characterization and Evaluation, Symposium K: Composites and Hybrid Materials, Symposium L: Energy Generation, Harvesting and Storage Materials, Symposium M: IOMMMS Global Materials Forum.
This work will therefore be an invaluable reference tool for researchers, engineers, scientists and end-producers working in the fields of advanced materials and processing.
