Introduction Intermetallic matrix composites (IMCs) can be considered to be one of the promising candidate materials for high temperature structural applications due to their high melting point, low density, good environmental stability and excellent oxidation resistance [1].
Ni3Si intermetahics have an excellent potential to become one of the most important high temperatures materials because of their low density, high melting temperature, good elevated temperature strength and modulus retention, and excellent creep properties.Although studies have been done to characterice in Ni3Si-base alloy ,there are limited oxidation data available for the alloy at elevated temperature [2-4].

In brief, the chamber pressure was affected by both leakage from the air bearing and outgassing from the interior materials of the chamber.
