The development of the ability to machine glass materials to optical tolerances is highly desirable.
Diamond cutting is a promising alternative to grinding and polishing techniques for fabricating high quality surfaces on brittle materials as a well-defined single point tool is more predictable than a multi-point grinding wheel.

My own geological research overlaps with Materials Science through the common goal of understanding deformation mechanisms in crystalline materials at different conditions, and also through the application of Electron Backscatter Diffraction to quantify microstructural properties related to deformation, recrystallisation and phase change [1].
This work claimed that “All the above results [quoted from Materials Science] show that grain- boundary sliding must be the dominant mechanism of superplasticity”.

The mechanical behavior of the obtained materials was also investigated.
The hybrid materials present a plastic behavior, with lower modulus of elasticity, increased ultimate tensile stress and deformation, leading to an increase in the toughness of the materials.

Experiments The absorption coefficient is the efficiency of materials on sound absorption, a common characteristic of building or sound insulation materials.
For natural sound absorptive materials, most materials were made in form of fiber, compacted as board or as flexible layers [12–14].

Methods and Materials A number of researchers have addressed the effect of surface charge on the conductance of nanowire.
Since they are having one dimensional structure and semiconducting properties they are being studied as potential materials for FET based biosensor.
Since they are nano materials, it is possible to make array of sensors on a single platform so that it is possible to develop multianalyte systems.

Graphite anode material usually used carbon material, an amorphous carbon material, a transition metal nitride and oxide, silicon-based materials, tin-based materials, carbon nanotubes and the new alloy was also studied as a lithium-ion battery cathode materials.
For anode materials research has become a research hotspot in recent years, and has made great progress, with the anode materials enhance the performance of the cycle performance of lithium-ion battery charge and discharge rate is also rising.
Over the last decade, polymer materials science has been rapid development, combined with the advantages of polymer material itself, the liquid lithium-ion battery developed based on the gel type rechargeable lithium polymer battery, and in 1999 achieved the industrial production.
