This information is essential e.g. for application of these materials in the mechanically loaded application, where a design with certain reliability to operating conditions is required.
Introduction Ceramic foams with open cell porosity are becoming increasingly attractive materials in a great number of industrial branches and/or as bone replacement materials.
The main drawback of these materials is their intrinsic brittleness, which also limit their wider application e.g. in the load-bearing applications.

For crankshaft main bearing abnormal sound, it is mainly due to oversize of tolerance clearance between crankshaft main bearing and its journal where the oversize is led by excessive wear between them.
It worked as follows: The materials under test were transformed into atomic vapor under high temperature; hollow cathode lamp made of the same elements radiated certain wavelength of characteristic radiation, after heated up by graphite oven, some of the radiations were absorbed by ground state atom.
Experimental part 1.1 Instruments: FAS 240 atomic absorbance spectrometry (Varian Inc, America); Copper (Cu), and Lead (Pb) hollow cathode lamps (Hitachi Inc, Japan). 1.2 Reagents and Materials: Cu and Pb standard solution, National Research Center for Certified Reference Material (NRCCRMS); Nitric Acid: Guaranteed reagent GR; Tween 80 is analytically reagent AR; Water is ultrapure water.
Subsequently, the engine demolition showed that the tolerance clearance was too large between crankshaft main bearing and its journal.

Several surveys have indicated an increase in the frequency of accidents in the transportation of hazardous materials.
When dangerous goods, such as flammable liquids, radioactive material or chemical waste are transported by ship, safety and security are matters of fundamental importance.
Extra caution against fire must be taken in the engine room, where the temperature is high and inflammable materials abound.

Analysis results from SEM, IR, XRD and other methods indicated that scoria’s composition and its material structure were closely related to the remediation mechanism of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated groundwater.
