Based on field practice and analysis, it is found that weighted mud displacement has the following disadvantages: A Generally, weighted mud has a larger viscosity, which is not profitable to increase the pump speed and improve the displacement efficiency; B It takes a lot of labor power and material resources for the preparation of weighted mud, resulting in the increase of workload and loss of materials; C The weighted mud remained in the wellbore may affect the well logging in the later stage.

Firstly, the material parameters inside NASGRO equation have been treated stochastically, according to material property statistical definition, as found in [12].
Focusing on material properties, it might happen that the monitored crack propagation on the considered specimen undergoes a trend which is characterized by a very low probability according to the prior knowledge on material properties (as confirmed in Fig. 2.a).
Surely, the optimization of the damage characterization algorithms is the key aspect to be considered to obtain a reliable prognosis, though particle filter can help mitigating the effect of outlier measures because of the limits imposed by the DSS boundaries.
