Introduction Metal carbonate minerals are of fundamental interest and technological importance due to their broad application in biomaterials chemistry, especially those with complex and fine morphology and structure [1-4].
Calcium carbonate as one of the standard model systems has been studied in detail, and much progress has been made toward determining the hierarchical structures of calcium carbonate minerals as well as establishing structure-function relationships [5-11].
SrCO3 microstructures with morphologies of flower-like, cauliflower-like and finger-like structures have been obtained.
Thus, the cauliflower-like aggregate exhibits typical hierarchical structure.
According to above results, we suggest that there is a certain interaction between SDS and Tween20 in aqueous solution, which plays a significant role in the formation of flower-like and cauliflower-like structures.

Hence, we could control the photoluminescent properties of the phosphors doped with Eu2+, by adjusting their sub-lattice structure around Eu2+.
