Change laws of breakdown strengths of epoxy resin insulating materials with different Al2O3 contents under different temperatures as well as those of the same materials under different temperatures were analyzed.

Understanding how heat affects building materials is very useful in assessing the extent of damage to various building components.
In the last decade and more recently, extensive studies and experimental research [2-9] have been carried out to evaluate materials in fire affected buildings, in terms of seismic performance [10], fatigue behaviour [11, 12] and residual mechanical properties of materials [13] and their welded joints [14-16].
Tests were also performed on cylindrical specimens taken from the same materials/areas.
These values correlate with the tensile strength values of the materials analysed. 7.6.
