Li et.al [9] conducted a study on the effects of quenching medium on the microstructure and mechanical properties of high chromium cast iron.
The quenching process significantly affects the mechanical properties and microstructure of iron.
The cooling rate during quenching has a significant impact on steel's microstructure, which in turn affects its mechanical properties.

The factors including pressure and temperature which play important role in fusion bonding were analyzed in molecular level.
Introduction With many advantages in terms of low cost, mechanical properties, and ease of processing polymer has a wide range of applications in MEMS and is replacing conventional materials such as glass and silicon etc [1].
A number of studies have demonstrated the application of molecular simulation methods to compute mechanical properties of polymers [8,9] and results obtained from these simulations have been encouraging since they agree rather well with the laboratory measurements.
The deformation was affected by pressure seriously.
Without considering other factors relatively small pressure and high temperature relatively are necessary for precise fusion bonding.

The results demonstrated the surface layer affected by compressive residual stresses is very thin and the peak is located on the surface.
The result of shot peening can be affected by the shot parameters such as shot size, shape, velocity, hardness and material and the component properties such as hardness, strength, coverage and other factors such as temperature, duration of shot peening[7].
Table 1 lists material properties of shot and peened target.

Studies have shown that adding CNTs to photocurable polymers used in SLA can significantly alter their mechanical behavior, impacting both impact resistance and fatigue life—key factors in the longevity and performance of prosthetic limbs [1].
The extensive application of CNTs across diverse fields is largely due to their ability to undergo significant mechanical deformations, which affect their electronic, magnetic, optical, and chemical properties [5].

Most mechanical and physical properties and boundary conditions are temperature related.
Most mechanical and physical properties and boundary conditions are temperature related.
The change in temperature will remarkably affect the deformation behavior, microstructure and mechanical properties of the ring.
However, the thermo-mechanical analysis takes into account the effect of temperature variation on the material properties, as discussed before.

Efforts have also been paid to improve TWB formability which focuses on the factors such as welding technologies, the thickness of parent metals as well as stress differences [9, 10].
Our previous work has shown that the integrated strength, which is affected by material properties and thicknesses, can be used as a combined index to evaluate the formability of TWB [12].
Material properties used in the model are listed in Table 1.
The TWB used here is made up of base metals with different material properties.
From the simulation and experiment results, it was found that: 1) The uneven deformation between two sides' base metals in the forming process is possibly a main factor to degrade the formability of TWB; while one major cause of the uneven deformation can be the discrepancy of integrated strength which is consisted of materials properties and thickness. 2) The discrepancy of integrated strengths on base metals can affect both cracking trend and cracking type.

It was proposed that the excellent mechanical properties ensure the as-sprayed coating with low friction coefficient and wear rate under different lubrication conditions, In addition, the existence of pores was benefitted for the improvement of tribological properties under boundary lubrication.
Silicon element is added to Ni-B-Si systems to improve the self-fluxing properties.
Fig.3b shows a higher magnification view of the cross section of Ni-based coating, it can be seen that large pores and cracks exist in coating, which is harmful to the mechanical properties of coating.
Thus, excellent mechanical properties of Ni-based coating are the main factors for the improvements of tribological properties at heavy load.
