In a turning operation there are many factors that can affect the cutting force.
In this paper these are selected as design factors while other parameters have been assumed to be constant over the experimental domain.
The experimental results are analyzed with analysis of variance for the second order response model developed for Dx, Dy and Dz, which is used for identifying the factors and the experimental errors significantly affecting the performance measures.

It was proposed that the excellent mechanical properties ensure the as-sprayed coating with low friction coefficient and wear rate under different lubrication conditions, In addition, the existence of pores was benefitted for the improvement of tribological properties under boundary lubrication.
Silicon element is added to Ni-B-Si systems to improve the self-fluxing properties.
Fig.3b shows a higher magnification view of the cross section of Ni-based coating, it can be seen that large pores and cracks exist in coating, which is harmful to the mechanical properties of coating.
Thus, excellent mechanical properties of Ni-based coating are the main factors for the improvements of tribological properties at heavy load.

The stability of the properties of the T8 as welded condition was investigated after a 1000 hours at 85°C exposure.
The second one tested by DLR aimed at investigating the local properties of the microstructure.
Fatigue tests were performed on two types of specimens representing two stress concentration factors (un-notched Kt 1,036 and Kt 2,3 with a 6,35 mm hole diameter) and according to ASTM E466-82.
The good ductility of the weld nugget and the surrounding zones might also explained the promising behaviour in fatigue crack growth and in fracture toughness but other factors such as residual stress field [3] may also contribute.
Even if the post welding aging provides a hardening in the surrounding zones of the weld nugget, the global static and fatigue properties of the T8 post welding aged weld are similar to the T8 as welded condition.

Other factors such as pulse valve opening time and face velocity etc., were fixed.
The properties of the filters were analyzed after thermal shock and pressure shock tests.
Pulse cleaning process was shown to affect the durability of the filter.
