Mechanics Analysis of semi-rigid subgrade pavement structure Liya Su Architecture and Civil Engineering School, Inner Mongolia University of Science and technology, Baotou, 014010, China suliya1@.imust.cn Keyword: Asphalt Pavement, Semi-rigid foundation, modulus of elasticity, reasonable thickness Abstract.
Introduction The semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is the main road structure form in China[1], the many advantages of the semi-rigid base material for thinning, and reduced the construction cost to provide the reliable guarantee for asphalt layer, but with the increase of traffic volume and vehicle load, the semi-rigid base itself defects and overloading problems caused the early damage, which reduce the service life and service quality of Pavement in a large extent.
With the elastic modulus of semi-rigid base materials increased, road deflection value decreases as shown in Fig.2. when elastic modulus of base layer reaches a certain value, the road deflection may not decrease.
When select different elastic modulus and thickness of semi-rigid material, analysis and checking calculation of the mechanical response of various design parameters on pavement under the traffic load (stress and displacement component).Through calculation and analysis get the following conclusions: Elastic modulus of semi-rigid base materials between1500MPa and 3000MPa, and thickness control under 35cm is more reasonable.

Introduction In the process of creep feed grinding, large grinding depth is always used to obtain high material remove rate [1,2].
However, the high material remove rate brings high heat generated rate in the grinding contact zone which causes surface burning of the work piece [3].
As creep feed grinding difficult to machine materials such as titanium alloy and superalloy, the surface burning is more serious because its low heat conductivity, high strength and toughness [4].
So, how to solve the problem in grinding burn for difficult to machine materials is a focus of grinding research field.
