The image edge detection technology has wide application prospect in timber science field.
The binarization algorithm for image of anatomical structure of wood and its edge tracing is not only the key to measure wood cell wall rate, cell diameter and have material analysis, meanwhile also one of the important basis for identifying the mode of wood anatomical structure.
