Whereas, a positive value for SF means that the grinding wheel removes too much material.
For an insufficient material removal SF becomes negative.

The length of the pin is correlated with the thickness of the materials to be joined.
When joining soft materials with hard materials by using friction stir lap welding, it is preferable, as the first step, to plunge the pin through the softer material to avoid damage to the pin.

The combination of the three materials CS/XG.SiO2 produces bio-composite materials that are effective in photodegradation of cationic textile dye waste such as methylene blue.
Previous research synthesised similar composite materials but used commercial chitosan and Xanthan Gum.
Flow Diagram of CS/XG.SiO2 Synthesis Characterisation of Synthesised Materials Characterisation of the synthesised CS/XG.SiO2 composite was carried out using FTIR, XRD, and SEM tests.
Characterization of Materials The following are the results of the FTIR and XRD spectra of the synthesised material.
After all materials were tested with FTIR and XRD, CS/XG.SiO2 adsorbent was tested with SEM to see the morphology or surface of the material.

However, it is difficult to bond a different material together because of the chemical stability.
The work material is commercial PTFE with shape of 30 x 25 x 3 mm. .
On the other hand, the widths of groove of both materials become narrower than the calculated width.

Corrosion makes weakening of appliances, that can lead to mechanical failure or even fracture of the orthodontic materials.
According to Kawai et.al., in the review of their research the radiographic features of 325 mandibular fracture sites in 231 patients over a 10-year period were investigations and remove fixation materials after fractures of the mandible through retrospective research of radiographs.

For more precise results non-linear behaviour of the materials has to be considered.
Non-linear material data were based a reduced material strength in tension which was defined as 0.5 MPa.
