In this study the structure and properties of surface layers obtained on cp-titanium workpieces by non-vacuum electron beam cladding of titanium carbide powder were investigated.

advantages of squeeze casting include elimination of gas and shrinkage porosity, reduction of metal
wastage and improvement of mechanical properties.
The results indicate that the properties of the SiCp/Al composites depends on the particle volume fraction and are greatly improved by hot extrusion, while, the extrusion ratio does not affect the properties of the extruded composites.
Because of the addition of the aluminum powder in the preform, some Al2O3 phases were introduced in the SiCp/Al composite, which affects the properties of the composite.
The mechanical behavior of a composite is affected by the presence of reinforcement particles dispersed in matrix material.
The yield strength of the matrix in the extruded composite may, in fact, be higher than that in the as-cast composite because of factors such as increased dislocation density and reduced grain size.

Ion nitrocarburizing technics may enhance obviously the friction reduction, wear resistance and scuffing resistance properties of the substance by preparing the ion nitrocarburized layer on the surface of the part[5-9].
The friction and wear properties were investigated on a SRV–4 friction and wear tester.
The friction factors were real time noted by random software.
The above analyses show that at different temperature the friction factors of ion nitrocarburized layer is always less than that of the plain surface, and especially at 150 ˚C the friction factor of ion nitrocarburized layer reduces about 36% than that of the plain surface, which explains that at higher temperature ion nitrocarburized layer may greatly improve the friction reduction property of the substrate.

An increase in the number of parameters at the input of a neural network, a change in its architecture and the presence of a large database will further allow investigating other factors that affect the fatigue strength of metals at low temperatures, but which are difficult to study in climatic chambers.
