INTRODUCTION Montmorillonite clays have been known as inorganic ion-exchange materials showing high proton conductivity.
Electrical conductivity in these materials was found to be mainly protonic.
MATERIAL PREPARATION Raw materials were obtained from the Šipovo bentonite deposits, Republic of Srpska.
The WPA-PILC composite materials were prepared by using aqueous solutions of WPA and pillared clay [8-10].
