Introduction Shape memory alloy (referred to as SMA) in the field of civil engineering is still in the initial stage of research and development.
The kinds of dampers in the form of simple, convenient process, which will help promote the use of the engineering building.
Conclusions Propose a new type of SMA damper, the damper allows structural members in tension, compression and torsion cases, the memory alloy wire is always in tension to avoid buckling of the memory alloy wire; and simple in form, which will help promote the use of engineering .

Introduction Historic bridges provide valuable information about our cultural heritage, including architectural uniqueness, aesthetic expression, innovations in engineering, and evolution of the transportation system. [1] Masonry arch bridges have been used for at least 4000 years and Iran was one of the pioneers in building such structures as the first masonry arch bridges have appeared first in Mesopotamia, Iran. [2] Debates on priorities in designing bridges are still controversial.
Summery Masonry arch bridges have been the yields of civil, architectural and hydraulic engineering throughout the history.
This research doesn't aim to continue the historic controversy between civil engineers and architects but rather it is going to prove these two have always worked together to bring most possible stability and efficiency to historic buildings and represent such masterpieces to the world of art and science.

Taking the pile caps of a Passenger Dedicated Railway as an engineering example, the current paper applies three-dimensional finite element software MIDAS/Civil to simulate its unstable temperature field and calculate the temperatures of certain internal and surface representative nodes.
Projects A pile cap in a Passenger Dedicated Railway is used in the current paper as an engineering example.
Finite element analysis for the pile cap Establishment of model .Using three-dimensional finite element software MIDAS/Civil, through massive concrete pile cap on the actual situation as well as a variety of different boundary conditions, we make a simulation analysis of three-dimensional temperature field in the heat of hydration.
In order to take all possible problems into account, nine temperature measuring points, including engineering points, are arranged in the model.
Given that the pile cap’s initial temperature is 5℃, the pouring temperature in the model is 20℃, which is consistent with the real engineering situation.
