Introduction
During the last decade, the research in the medical sector has been focused towards personalizing healthcare, reducing medical expenses by using more efficient software, devices and protocols, improving patients’ quality of life, democratizing the access to quality medical care, remotely monitoring the health status of patients, developing or improving high-tech medical devices, materials, treatments, methods of clinical investigations [1-3].
Materials and Method Shorter operation time, less exposure to X-rays of both medical team and patient, increase of surgical accuracy in performing certain procedures represent the main reasons for which patient-specific guides are used in orthopedic surgery [4-6].
Otherwise the saw blade blocks in the material after few milimeters and the cutting cannot be performed.
