These regulations had a great impact on the process of vehicles engineering design as they influence the materials used during the manufacturing process such as metals, additives or plastic and polymeric composites.
Plastic and polymeric composites such as polyacetal, polyphenylene ether or other engineering resins are a key part of the evolution of car industry.
Another advantage of using such materials is the safety of passengers.
This trait makes all polymeric materials bio resistant and persistent in the environment.

The core idea of LC is that in ensuring the quality and safety conditions strive to achieve zero waste, zero failures, zero defects, zero inventory, and strive to achieve the shortest period and a minimum consumption of resources, to achieve the goal of the wasting minimization, customer value (or engineering value) maximization.
From the overall perspective of LC techniques and methods, this article explores the key factors that affect the implementation of LC.

Silica aerogels, as the one of raw materials, can significantly increase the content of mesopores and reduce the thermal conductivity of the materials.
In this study, we prepared insulating materials, with mesopores contained and quartz fiber reinforced, by microsilica, silica aerogels and quartz fibers as raw materials.
Experiment Raw materials Microsilica (95.5%) was provided by Elkem Silica Materials (Kristiansand, Norway).
Conclusions Insulating materials, with the best properties in present study, could be prepared by microsilica, silica aerogels and quartz fiber as raw materials.
