CTOD is the distance between the two surfaces of the gaping when the material body bearing cracking opening load.
CTOD values reflect the size of the resistance of crack tip material to crack.
In the trial, the materials to be test should be processed into samples with pre-existing cracks.
The larger CTOD value is, the better this material can resistance to crack, which means the toughness better.

Every year, the scope of application of polymers and materials based on them is expanding and the requirements for the conditions of their processing and operation are becoming more complicated.
Very urgent is the task of extending the life of polymer materials.
Among chemical additives to polymeric materials, phenol derivatives occupy an important place.
It is no coincidence that in recent years 70-75 % of chemical additives of polymeric materials are obtained on the basis of alkyl phenols [1-3].
Para-cyclohexylphenol is an effective starting material for the production of antioxidants, stabilizers of polymeric materials and synthetic rubbers.

The needle punched non-woven GT of staple fibers mainly applied to flooring material in waste landfills contain polypropylene and polyester as one of raw materials and it help maintaining stability against acid and alkali materials.
Besides all of these, polypropylene or polyester GTs are used to installation over the HDPE GM in waste landfills and frictional properties between these materials is known to be the cause of decreasing the long-term performance in the geo-synthetics [6-8].
