Taking difficult-to-cut material titanium alloy as studying object, the surface roughness characteristics of titanium alloys are studied through experiments using self-developed ultrasonic vibration lapping device.
Fig. 2 Effect of workpiece speed on surface roughness (amplitude: A=12μm) According to the Fig. 2, we can know that the surface roughness does not change significantly with the increasing of workpiece speed in common lapping whether using W28 grinding paste or W7 grinding paste, the reason is that the increasing of workpiece speed is essentially that time variable is introduced to material deformation removal process, therefore the changes of workpiece speed mainly affect the physical and mechanical properties of machined surface[4], however, it exercises a very little influence on the geometric properties [5].

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Shearing Wall Retrofitting System
There are advantages and disadvantages for the shearing wall retrofitting system as followings:
Advantages: Provides large lateral stiffness with limited materials usage and limited construction period compared to the other structural retrofitting alternatives.

Kinetic curve of the thickening process in the compression zone
During the process of the enriched mineralogical material drainage, the moisture is divided into: 1) pellicular moisture (it covers the material solid particles and it stays on the surface of the solid particles by molecular attraction); 2) capillary moisture (it is located in the particle pores and it forms the meniscus); 3) free moisture (it is located between the solid particles and it can move in the settling).
