“Suzhou Public Art System Planning” has specified such 7 controlling factors as theme and type, function and format, appreciation character, size and shape, site demands, material and color.
It main contents should include: locations of all public artworks and sculptures, numbers of all public artworks and sculptures, the structures and levels of public art sytem plannings where all public artworks and sculptures are located, themes and subject matters, functions and types, appreciation characters, sizes and land-use demands and materials of all public artworks and sculptures, 6 Conclusion To formulate and enact public art system planning, is mainly to facilitate local governments to advance city construciton in a planned and rational and scientific way.
