Especially, CNTs filled with various materials are of great interest in materials science and technology because their interesting structures can provide several possible applications, e.g. as nano-catalysts, nano-magnetic recording media, one-dimensional nano-junction, superconductors, etc [6].
Though a lot of researches have been performed, the structural properties of materials encapsulated in CNTs are still not very clear.
Among these new functional materials, alkali metal intercalations, in particular, have been actively investigated with a rapid progress.
