The tiffany in the previous Qing Dynasty was widely used not only to produce suits, sheets and hats but also to be materials for painting and writing.
There are three materials, among the unearthed the Chu embroidery, that used to be backing materials besides tiffany.
According to historical records and archaeological discovery, the Chu people uses respectively stone dyed tech and grass dyed tech to dye different silk materials.
Embroidery work needs to be painted with the design on the backing materials before stitching.
The lockstitch among the stitch technologies takes multi-row stitches to cover the backing materials completely so that the block surface can reach more than 20 rows.
