Many related research theories are studied and new architectural materials and advanced technologies are developed.
In addition to those new materials and high technologies, in traditional architecture there are also a lot of simple and plain ecological pursuit that are in accord with the spirit of Green Building.
Compared with some advanced modern techniques and new-type materials, the changeable strategy of courtyard dwelling form appears to be low-tech and low-cost.

It’s said that in fatigue theory, for certain material and structure, the same load would cause the same fatigue damage.
For key part, the fatigue feature of test pieces can be got by experiment and the fatigue life is also calculated by above load spectrum and material parameter with certain arithmetic.
Done with elements model, stress and strain response after load carrying are got and fatigue analysis can be process with material fatigue data and load feature.
To certain component, the fatigue experiments are needed to get parameter of material.

Material of welding test plate (WTP) is 16MnDR, using manual electric arc welding, 600×380×58 mm size.
Constant stress beam (TJ-2; material is 1Cr13; Young’s modulus E = 216 GPa; Poisson’s ratio ν = 0.28) was used, with the loading weight up to 5 kg.
The electrolytic polishing machine (DP-2) can supply for line intergranular corrosion of metal materials with small DC power (output current: 2-20 A; output voltage: 0-18 V), has two work pattern: constant current and constant voltage.
Besides, in order to test the WRS of pressure vessel, the polishing ratio of more materials should be studied under different polishing current.

The theory exploited is based on the saturation of ferromagnetic materials.
Due to the nonlinear behaviors of magnetic material, harmonic components of the exciting frequency appear in the faradic signal.
After hard-curing the thick film, a thicker photoresist film was spun to enwrap the bottom conductor layer, about 20um thick, as the insulation material between magnetic core and coils.

Numerical simulation using the distinct element method (DEM) could extend the capability of physical experiment methodology since it has advantage in investigating the strain localization and associated micro mechanisms in granular materials such as sands.
Since DEM was firstly proposed by Cundall and Strack [8], a lot of attempts have been made particularly on strain localization analyses of granular materials [9] as well as its application in geotechnical engineering [10,11].
Note that though the coarse sand and fine sand used here do not satisfy the rigorous definition in geotechnical engineering, they are used here only for distinction of coarse and fine materials.
This study was financially supported by China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists (Grant No. 51025932), the Research Found of the Doctoral Program of Higher Education (Grant No. 20100072110048), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 10972158).
