The empirical B-W model, on the other hand, indicates that the fracture of a ductile material is strongly depended on the stress triaxiality.
So far, the B-W fracture model has been often adopted for the general purpose of material testing [9].

Effect of magnetite nanoparticles doped glass with enhanced Verdet constant for magnetic optical current transducer applications Qiuping Chen1, Lin Wan2, Qiuling Chen1, Meng Zhang3 1Department of Material Sciences and Chemical Engineering, Politecnico di Torino, Corso duca degli Abruzzi, 24, 10129, Italy 2 Luoyang institute of Science and Technology, China 3 Henan University of Technology, China 1qiuling.chen@polito.it, 2qiuping.chen@polito.it Key words: Fe3O4 Nanoparticles, Magneto optical glass, Verdet constant, Magneto optical current transducer Abstract.
However the lack of suitable materials with good optical–magnetic properties (e.g high Verdet constant, lower loss, etc.) is the main obstacle for achieving such a success [3, 4].

This nature of crack propagation is believed to be practical independently of the loading conditions and the specimen geometries as long as brittle or quasi-brittle materials are concerned.
Although brittle materials can endure a considerable compression, cracks may propagate to lead a failure under severe compression.
In brittle materials, there exit a number of defects that can be considered as minute cracks.

MgO and CaO and some materials which exist in tailings mortar, not only can neutralize with acid material in waste water, but can generate precipitation with heavy metal ion; Tailings has the characters of complicated component and small partical size.
Also MgO can have a chemical reaction with materials in the solution to form Mg(OH)2 which has good adsorption properties [6], so heavy metal can be removed through adsorption .
