Several nano-structured semiconductor photocatalyst such as: metal oxides, heterojunctions, porous materials, layered materials, materials with hierarchical structure, and nano biocatalysts are acknowledged as good candidate for CO2 photo reduction.
The kinetics and theoretical investigation of the photocatalytic materials is very scarcely studied which is the main disadvantage for the development of efficient materials.

In China, above 90% insulation materials are EPS, XPS or PU board.
There already have several fire accidents during construction or storage of insulation materials.
One is changing the tank material to stainless steel, PE or RFP material.

This indicated that the adsorption is not reversible and complete regeneration cannot be obtained by adsorption of the material after adsorption.
