Materials have first been scanned with an optical and electron microscope to
determine average fibre properties and their scatter.
Both materials, matrix and fibres, are treated as perfectly elastic.
To apply GMC, precise data about input materials have to be known, which can be a problem with natural fibres.
The same mixtures of materials as in previous experiment were used.

According to the construction science research institute in liaoning province’s test results, one dimensional wave velocity increased 20% ~ 30% when 28 days strength are 4 ~ 5 times more than 3 days intensity of the slag cement; Therefore, the concrete strength grade could not be assessed by the wave speed [7].
And different strength grade concrete density is in , concrete poisson's ratio is between 0.2 and 0.3, so that considering the pile materials, in theory, the main factors affecting low strain wave speed are elastic modulus, and the influence factors of the elastic modulus are concrete strength, the age of concrete, cement and concrete's moisture state, concrete mix, maintenance condition, etc..

Introduction Failure of engineering materials often begins at the surface, thus optimizing the structure and properties of the surface layer may substantially improve the overall behavior.
The process is more complex, if a soft surface is coated with a harder material, such as aluminum with hard oxides [14].

Plasma Monitor and Material Characterization.
As reported by Buijnsters et al.,[10], UNCD is a highly light absorbing material because it is synthesized with a high renucleation rate and composed of a relatively high fraction of sp2-bonded carbon connecting the grains.
Correlation between materials grown and gas-phase species present in the plasma is important to identify the species driving the process mechanism.
