Rahman et al [1] made an attempt to invsetigate the cutting forces in microturning using different tool materials such as PCD and cermet inserts by varying depth of cut, spindle speed and feed on brass, aluminum and stainless steel.
The workpiece material used in the work is aluminium alloy, in the form of a cylindrical rod with an initial diameter of 6 mm and machined length of 20 mm.Ra is measured with the non-contact surface roughness tester.
