It is a challenging problem for scientists and engineers to calculate the random vibration responses of a large scale engineering structure, during which, the calculating efficiency and accuracy are always the main concerns.
In civil engineering, there are some even more difficult cases that have to be considered, such as a large span cable-stayed bridge under multi-dimensional seismic loads consisting of evolutionary random processes.
Introduction A civil engineering structure may endure many kinds of enviromental loads during its life time, such as seismic excitations or strong wind gusts.

Introduction Site investigation (SI) is a preliminary stage to the design and construction of any of civil engineering structure.
However, the results produced were always unconvinced due to several reasons such as reported by [19] that GM is not being fully explored by the civil engineers due to their lack of exposure and expertise in this area.

The EPC mode is one kind of total engineering management mode.
For instance, the general contractor of EPC split the project into civil engineering and installment, which are subcontracted by two subcontractors.
Because there are many interfaces between the civil engineering and installment, even if the there are appointments about these interfaces, the actually execute process also has trouble in some cases.
The sub-contract management in EPC engineering is a systems engineering.

The numerical model was built by the integrated solution system for bridge and civil Engineering-MIDAS/Civil.
Fig. 5 shows three dimensional numerical model of deck arch bridge built by MIDAS/Civil.
To confirm the calculating precise and fulfill requirement of engineering, the arch is meshed into 138 beam elements which each beam is not more than 1.0m.

Diagnosis of Damage in a Steel Tank with Self-Supported Roof through Numerical Analysis Daniel Burkacki1,a, Michał Wójcik1,b and Robert Jankowski1,c 1Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Gdansk University of Technology, ul.
The safety of civil engineering structures is one of the most important issues of building industry.
That is why the assessment of the damage-involved structural response has recently become of major concern to engineers.
Introduction Diagnosis of damage in civil engineering structures has recently become an important issue in the safety assessment procedure and an interpretation of the damage-involved structural response has been an important concern to engineers (see, for example, [1-4]).
For this reason, the present method can be considered as quite effective in diagnosing damage in large civil engineering structures.
