During the butt jointing of pipelines, the gaskets are interchangeable parts, and flanges are reusable parts, so the material of flanges should be harder than the gaskets to guarantee the soft one can reach the yield limit and avoid the excessive deformation of flange seal surface.
In the seal material of contact surfaces, the gasket is made by soft material, so the Rc value should be assigned as yield strength(205 Mpa) of stainless steel 316.

The frequency range of AE, a transient elastic wave under material deformation, is usually 100kHz-1MHz and its displacement is 10 -10-10-13m.
While the AE in a real structure is emitted from the inside of material, the AE in PLF is emitted on the surface of material.
The resonant frequency depends on both the length of a cantilever and material properties of an optical fiber.
