The SPM family are the nano-technologists and materials scientists "dream machines" and can probe using tunnelling current mode (STM), mechanical contact mode and tapping mode (AFM).
Further developments of scanning probe techniques now includes electrochemical probes (SCEM) scanning electro chemical microscopy, where tips are "coated" with chemical species which have an electro-chemical affinity to the target material on the specimen surface as the tip approaches the target a current is developed indicating the presence position and shape of the target material [18].

In terms of constructing wall body, as is shown in Fig.4, residents in northern Jiangsu prefer to select the complete masonry-timber structure which is the mixed use of brick and adobe rather than to adopt the solid brick for building walls, and bricks are ordinarily used with other building materials.
However, along with the development of productivity, progress of science and technology and improvement of equipment and skills, the numerous new materials, perfect building structure and advanced construction technology are arisen. Therefore, we should improve the traditional building materials and increase the performance of buildings in the local residence of northern Jiangsu so as to adapt the society for better advancement.

In order to solve the problem of mass concrete construction, the project mainly uses four measures, namely the selection of concrete materials and grading, design of concrete pouring, the control and monitoring measures of concrete temperature difference between inside and outside, concrete conservation measures.
Selection of materials and grading.
(3) Through selection of materials and grading, design of concrete pouring, temperature control and monitoring and conservation measures, the construction problem of mass concrete had been solved, and the requirement of high stiffness had been satisfied.

Effect of Nitrogen on Microstructure and Properties of a Cast Cobalt-Base Superalloy Chao YUANa, Jianting GUOb, Lanzhang ZHOUc Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang 110016, P.
Introduction Nitrogen (N),as a detrimental element in superalloys, is not easily removed even during vacuum induction melting (VIM), and usually is controlled by selecting raw materials for minimizing the N level [1].
For getting the virgin alloy with low N, the purified raw materials were melted at a temperature of 15800C for 10min, and then cast into metal moulds in a vacuum of 1.2 Pa to get the virgin alloy bar stock with the weight of 18kg.
Tensile tests with a strain rate of 2×10-5 s-1 were conducted on an AG-5000A Tensile Machine at room temperature and on a DCX-25T Material Testing Machine at 9000C, respectively.

Ultrasonic wave propagation is an ideal interrogation method because ultrasound is the elastic vibration of the material itself and is thus directly affected by any structural damage occurring in the paths of the propagating waves.
EXPERIMENTAL 3.1 System overview and pitch-catch method set-up The specimen used in this experiment was made of Fiberglass pre-impregnated material containing 30 plies and having an overall thickness of 8.39mm (Figure 2).
CONCLUSION AND FUTURE WORK In this paper, we have presented support vector machine approach for the automatic analysis of internal defects of composite materials.

Cu-Ag core-shell nanowires were also prepared by galvanic replacement as an active material in a conductive and stretchable composite [21].
These would also affect the conductivity and oxidation resistance that would dictate the performance of the Cu-Ag nanowires as conductive materials in electronic devices.

Compared with costly quick repair material as well as road renovation and expansion engineering, materials selected by precast assembling slabs are traditionally ordinary Portland cement and steel bars, being able to significantly reduce maintenance costs.
In the use of fast-setting repair material for maintenance construction, even a little difference in curing conditions may have a major impact on the development of strength, especially on the formation of early strength, if serious, even causing repair failure.
Through the lap joint of the dowel bar buried in prefabrication of slabs and the reserved dowel bar slot, then fill dowel bar slot with fast patching material, not only being able to realize load transmission ability at joints, but also being able to ensure the smoothness of assembled pavement.

To overcome these limitations the materials of the textile reinforcements are not only used because of their excellent structural properties and durability, but also because of additional functional properties (e.g. strain or damage sensing).
Materials and Methods Materials.
The woven 3D-textile reinforcement was manufactured by using the above described materials on a modified rapier weaving machine (Lindauer DORNIER GmbH, Germany) with a linear take-off (Kieselstein GmbH, Germany).
Due to the high strain rate, the mechanical properties of the materials are increasing, causing an overall improved composite behaviour e.g. by an increased mechanical anchorage of the 3D-textile reinforcement to the SHCC matrix.
